A very close friend once told me that we should never spell Christmas as X'mas because it removes essence of the word: Christ.
To deviate a little, honestly, I'm not sure how this entry will turn out because I have not a clue as to what to write yet there is this strong, inexplicable desire to do so.
Anyway, back to what i was talking about earlier on. Christmas = The birthday of Christ. It is also the day that God came down to earth in the form of a baby and the day that mankind gets a second chance at living an eternal life with God. Actually, i'm pretty curious about what God felt when He decided to come down and live as one of us. Since He knew what was to come and God definitely has the full range of emotions (because we do and God created us in His likeness), what was He feeling when He decided to live as one of His creations and to eventually become the ultimate sacrifice? I don't suppose anyone has the answer except God himself. Still, i'm certain that whatever was running through His mind at that critical moment, the most overwhelming thought must be that of wanting to save His children from an eternal seperation from Him.
So God was born as Christ and lived for 33 years and 6 months. He led a perfect life in preparation for the final sacrifice on the cross.
"Amazing love how can it be, that my king would die for me?" Yes, this is the driving force that is forcing me to write, to rationalise and in turn understand how can it be possible. Logic does not work. Neither does rationalisation. Reasoning based on pros and cons of the situation would not bring me to the decision that God came to. He offered one reason for His actions.
Love.
The one feeling that propels mothers to lift cars with their bare hands, families to stick together in a crisis and God to come down and die for us all. Psychologists explain love as a misinterpretation of the effects of adrenalin. If the explanation is real, then the Olympics would be the place with the most number of lovers. Besides, i'm not sure if God has hormones.
Ok... enough rambling for a night. I better stop before I begin to confuse people.
Ciaoz!
